A moment of Reflection

It has been on my mind lately that not one of us is perfect. Well, duh, Jeremy. But seriously...time and time again I hear people beat themselves up over past mistakes. It doesn't matter when they made the mistake, or when they came to the faith. They want to drag out sin #496, relive it, and experience the guilt all over again.

As humans, Satan uses our memory as a weapon against us. He makes us believe that we are not good enough, not worthy enough to receive God's grace. And just when we think we've conquered whatever...he reminds us once again. Just a whisper, a thought, maybe an ad on TV or a song on the radio. And so we slide...further away from God's unconditional love.

As a child of God, you have the right, the privilege to be forgiven. Enter the throne room boldly, confess your sins, and let the God of Abraham, Moses, Jacob and David forgive you. Accept the grace that is freely given and go forth renewed. Let God sit on the throne of your life and don't allow Satan the opportunity to bring up the past.

Romans 3:23 -for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

It's more than a little cheesy, but as Beth will tell you...I am the king of cheesy:

Every time Satan reminds you of your past, remind him of his future.

Remember in prayer:

**Josh and Kayci and baby Truitt

**Russell and Jennifer--newlyweds who left us in December. She has a platelet disorder and is undergoing a splenectomy. Russell was to walk at graduation on Saturday from U of H. Pray for healing and a complete recovery. Please pray that God will calm their fears and be with the doctors.

**Sarah and her impending move to Tyler

**Marc and Molly's move to Birmingham, Marc's graduation from Medical School

**David Rose: Graduation and the police academy

**Bill's Graduation from Medical School

**the unspoken needs

**those needs that my brain has momentarily forgotten

I pray for you now. I pray that you will enter the throne-room boldly and lay at the feet of our Saviour your struggles, your fears, your mistakes. And I pray that you will leave them there and be restored. Justified by Grace. Forgiven because He who was without sin was willing to take on the sins of the world: past, present and future; YOUR sins, that you might not perish, but live with Him for eternity.

Amen.
